Along with degrees in education and psychology, seasoned instructor Lisa Roberts also holds certifications in Tai Chi, personal training, nutrition and water safety instruction. Lisa brings decades of experience in education and wellness to her classes, blending her love of teaching with a strong desire to help others achieve balance, mindfulness and a greater understanding of Tai Chi. Lisa began her journey as a student of Tai Chi Chuan in the early 1990’s with a group of dedicated Tai Chi practitioners who met once a week in various outdoor spaces in the Midlands to practice Yang style Tai Chi and Qigong. Over the next forty years she continued to learn and grow as a student, eventually becoming a personal trainer and then Tai Chi Instructor specializing in balance, wellness and mindfulness. Lisa teaches Tai Chi for health and rehabilitation in several different locations in the Midlands. She enjoys teaching Tai Chi for health emphasizing slow, smooth body movements and deep breathing to achieve a state of relaxation of body, mind and spirit. In addition to personal training and Tai Chi, Lisa also enjoys being in nature, hiking with friends, and gardening.
