St Andrews Chess Club - Grandmaster Visit! (Reprise)

Chess Grandmaster Elshan Moradi graced us with his presence on November 1, 2018 and played a "clocked simul" game against 18 people at the same time. He won. 18-0. Thanks so much to Sam Copeland (SC state chess champion) and some of the other members of The Columbia Chess Club (http://www.columbiachess.org/) for bringing Mr. Moradi for this very well attended event. The St Andrews Chess Club has been in existence now for 5+ years and shows no sign of slowing down. This was our third Grandmaster simul game since it started. It never ceases to amaze me the age range of the players. Anywhere from 4 - 80 and age doesn't seem to effect anyone’s skill level. Make sure you watch a snippet of the action on the include video!

Be sure to attend our casual chess every Monday from 6:30-8:45 and our Kids Chess hour hosted by Sam Copeland every Thursday from 6-7.
