Allow me to shed some light on these new machines, including their major features, power consumption, some unique teen-friendly games, and alternatives from the previous console generation.

Nintendo Switch

Resolution: Up to 1080p in TV mode, 720p in handheld mode

Storage: 32 Gigabytes, with microSD slot to expand storage

Physical Media: Nintendo Switch game cards

Digital Media: Hulu for now, no media playback via USB (two 2.0 ports, one 3.0 port)

What Makes It Unique: The most powerful game console available and can play 4K “Ultra HD” Blu-Rays

Exclusive Games: Cuphead, Halo Wars (series), Forza Motorsport (series), Ori and the Blind Forest

Alternative: Xbox One S, which is a miniature Xbox One that can play 4K "Ultra HD" Blu-Rays and upscale games to 4K
