Meet the Friends and Foundation
The Richland Library Friends and Foundation works to support Richland Library by raising awareness and financial support.
Make a great library even better.
The Richland Library Friends and Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, governed by a Board of Trustees, whose mission is to support Richland Library by raising awareness and financial support.
The organization was created in 2017 when the efforts of two previously separate Library support organizations – the Richland Library Friends and the Richland Library Foundation – were realigned. The sole purpose of the new organization is to support and enhance the mission of Richland Library, one of the most important cultural and educational resources in our region.
Philanthropic support from our generous donors has enabled Richland Library to establish innovative programs that have a huge impact on the life of our community. While public funding supports basic library operations, private support helps to ensure a higher level of service both now and in the future. It’s what makes a great library even better.
Goals:
1. Raise funds to fuel innovation and programming
2. Provide new community resources through outreach and education
3. Serve the community at large through meaningful impact across the region
