Halloween draws to a close and Daylight Savings Time falls back as we transition to November. Richland Library's Teen Center, located on the garden level of our Main location at 1431 Assembly Street, has plenty of programming to offer customers ages 12-18.

Richland Library’s Team Of Anime-Seeking Teens is looking for an anime/manga fan like you! We vote on anime series to watch on a big screen and love to talk about our favorite reads, including novels and manga. We learn about Japanese traditions and holidays and play large group games together.
Teen Center Drop-In: Drawing With Shapes
Want to learn the basics of cartooning? Drop in and learn how simple shapes can be used to construct a tree, house, character, or virtually anything. Open to ages 12-18.
Teen Center Drop-In: Character Illustration
Learn to breakdown the complexity of arms, legs, torsos, and faces. Design your own character or learn to draw your favorite. Open to ages 12-18.
Teen Advisory Board
Teen Advisory Board is a volunteer organization for young people age 12-18. Teen volunteers help library staff plan and promote programs and services for our community, all while earning volunteer hours. TAB serves as the voice of Richland County teens - are you ready to be heard?
Stitch By Stitch
Want to test your Maker skills? We're bringing out our sewing machines and learning the basics one stitch at a time. Please call the Teen Center at 929-3470 to register.
Let your voice be heard by the world...but first, come learn the basics of podcasting! We're demonstrating free software and sharing tips and tricks for embarking on your audio adventure.
Improv, short for improvisation, is the art of saying “Yes and” to mix-ups of setting, character, and action. There are no right answers beyond keeping a scene moving, and your fellow actors will be there to bail you out if you get stuck in a moment. The Teen Center’s introductory improv exercises will help you unleash the characters inside you.
The Write Up
The writing struggle is real, but here, so is the support. We will brainstorm, workshop, and develop ideas into stories to be read and heard. We will also look at NaNoWriMo strategies and methods for finishing your story. Open to ages 12-18.
