Customer Experience Assistant
Help library staff with materials, events and a variety of other tasks helping and welcoming customers. You’ll need to engage well with others and have the physical ability to push, bend and reach our materials.
Computer Training Assistant
Make a difference by helping our adult customers gain technical skills. You’ll support our library instructors as they teach computer classes. You don’t have to be an expert but a knowledge of basic computer skills is preferred.
Junior and Teen Library Apprentice
Volunteers grades 5-12 learn about the library while assisting our staff with a variety of duties. They help sort and organize books, tidy up rooms after busy storytimes, help us with displays and even prepare materials for library programs.
Books To You Assistant
We promote access to materials and lifelong learning for all members of our community. In this volunteer role, you’ll help provide books to our homebound senior customers who are unable to visit us at the library. Our Books to You volunteers provide monthly deliveries, pick-up and socialization opportunities once a month. This is an important outreach activity that provides true quality of life services to the elderly living in our community.
Teen Advisory Board
This board meets once a month to plan programs, help with the website, perform service projects and (of course) have fun! Become a member of the Teen Advisory Board and meet other teens from different schools who also know how cool the library is. Seventh through twelfth graders are considered, and those who participate earn volunteer hours for their time.
Visit any of our locations or visit the Teen Center at Richland Library Main to apply.
Tween Advisory Group
Join our first-ever Tween Advisory Group (TAG) to help the Main Library with service projects, programs and more. 5th-7th graders are eligible to apply for TAG and team members will earn volunteer hours.
