Exfoliation is the removal of dead skin cells from the outer layer of the skin (epidermis). Did you know your skin naturally sheds tons of dead skin cells every day? In this week’s #brainbreak, we will create a sugar scrub that can be used on our hands and feet to help aid this process.
Supplies Needed:
- Bowl
- Spoon
- Glass Jar
- Sugar (1/4 Cup)
- Coconut Oil (1/2 Cup)
- Peppermint Essential Oil (10 drops) (Optional)
- Vitamin-E Oil (1 Tsp.) (Optional)
Instructions
- In a bowl (glass preferably) using a spoon stir to combine coconut oil and sugar, mix until well combined.
- At this point you can stop but if you have peppermint essential oil and vitamin E oil add to the mixture and stir to combine.
- After everything is mixed well transfer to your glass jar and seal tightly. You should avoid getting moister into your jar and keep it at room temperature for up to two months.
- Make sure to moisturize your skin after every use.
Simple Skincare Tips for Teens
Here are some simple tips to keeping that skin nice and clean. Wash your face every day once when you wake up and again before bed. Next, moisturize. The key to this is making sure you find one that works best with your skin type. Another key component to any skincare routine is to use sunscreen no matter the weather it’s a must-do each day before you go outside.
