Ethel Bolden is a former member of the Richland County Public Library Board of Trustees and former Dreher High School Librarian. She is also the mother of astronaut Charles Bolden. In this interview with librarians Sarah Benson and Robin Copp, she discusses the importance of libraries to their communities. She also recalls the existence of segregated libraries in Columbia and the gradual and peaceful integration of those libraries.
