Flash Fiction Writing Workshop
Saturday, July 27, 2019 11 a.m. – 11:45 a.m.
Learn how to craft the shortest of short stories with award-winning author Debra Daniel, author of the newly published novella-in-flash The Roster.
Flash fiction, characterized by extreme brevity while still offering complete character and plot development, is gaining in popularity despite having ancient roots.
Learn about this unique literary form, gain insights into the particular challenges of its format, and get tips on how to take an idea and turn it in into a fabulous short story - in a flash! Bring something you've been working on, start from scratch, or just get inspired. Completed flash fiction pieces can be submitted to Richland Library's Short Story Dispensers.
Debra A. Daniel was named SC Arts Commission Poetry Fellow in 2006 and in 1994. She was awarded the Guy Owen Prize in 2002.
