Birds are everywhere!
While National Parks such as Congaree are wonderful places to see and hear birds, they don't have a monopoly on bird life. Join Richard Joyce, Congaree National Park's Community Volunteer Ambassador, for a leisurely bird walk around the grounds of Richland Library Ballentine. We'll learn about resources for identifying birds, ways of supporting urban bird diversity and balance, how to use binoculars, and birding by ear. We'll hope to see and hear woodpeckers, titmice, mockingbirds, nuthatches, sparrows, cardinals, hawks, and wrens.
