Take a break!  Change up your usual I Spy game with a nature photography scavenger hunt.

Nature Photography Scavenger Hunt

Photography scavenger hunts are just like traditional scavenger hunts with one small difference.  Instead of checking items off your list, you take pictures of every item you find.

  • A Leaf

  • A Square(s)

  • A Mammal

  • A Line

  • A Rock or Stone

  • Something That Blooms

  • A Triangle(s)

  • A Bird

  • An Insect or Spider

  • A Circle(s)

BONUS:  Guess Again!

Inspired by Tana Hoban's photographic series featuring the books Look Book,  Look Again!, Take Another Look & Look!  Look!  Look!, take a close-up photo of an object.  Next take a photo that shows the whole object.  Can your family figure out what the object is by looking at the close-up photo only?

Photography Tips for Kids From a Kid

If this brain break has made you a budding photographer, consider submitting your photos for possible inclusion in Richland Library's literary magazine, Kids in Print.

Contributors must live in the Midlands and be 6-18 years-old for consideration.
