It’s a bit difficult right now to gain access to some services. Here is a quick guide with an option that may provide some relief for your scanning needs. You can scan paperwork or identification info with an Android smart device for free.
For scanning, you’ll use your smart device. Once the item is scanned in you can send it through email to others or upload it to a fax site to send. I like Tiny Scanner. It’s simple, easy to use, and available on Android and IOS. This guide is for Android users.
Once you click to create a new document, the camera will open and allow you to take a picture of the document you want to make a PDF from.
After you have the image lined up, you will take the photo and adjust its edges.
After your edges are lined up and you take the image, a PDF document will appear to save. You will click the check mark to save the page.
On the Android, you can add a second page (or more) after you have scanned your first page. On the screen where you name the file, you will see an option to take another picture.
Once your Document is scanned in, and saved, you can send it to an email address. On the Android, the share icon is in the lower right corner.
After you click the share button, the extra menu pops up with the option to email the file.
Once the option to send an email has been selected, you will be able to add a person to send the message to (usually you will send it to yourself or someone else if you can email the document directly to someone as opposed to uploading it). From this point it will need to be downloaded and then uploaded into the application that originally requested the info.
