Disguise a Gingerbread Person Craft

Are you looking for a fun craft to do this Holiday season? Try disguising a gingerbread person as one of your favorite character's from a picture book. 

Supplies You Will Need:

  • picture book
  • gingerbread person cut-out
  • glue
  • crayons or markers
  • construction paper
  • yarn
  • stickers
  • tape

                                            Choose a Book

The first step is choosing a book to read. This activity can be done using any children's book (picturebook, graphic novel, fiction, or nonfiction). Try reading a book you have never read before. Check out some recommendations below or Ask a Librarian for suggested titles.

 

 

 

                                       Gather Your Supplies

After reading your book, use the link above to print out a gingerbread person. Next, cut out the gingerbread image. Then gather your craft supplies, this can be any supplies you have around the house including recycled materials. Get creative and use the supplies to decorate your gingerbread person based on a character in the book.
