This project is easy, fun, and enjoyable to make. I made sure to use the phrase, “Whatever you want” because the possibilities of what you can create with this project are endless…believe me. You can really customize it however you want. With that being said, let’s get started.
These are the items you will need:
- Terracotta Pot with Saucer
- Wooden Knob
- E6000 Adhesive
- Any waterproof adhesive for glass and baked earth/cooked earth will work.
- Spray Paint or Acrylic Paint
- Paintbrush if using acrylic paint
- Mod Podge (Polyurethane) Spray in semi-gloss
- Round Glass Bowl
You can choose the size of the pot, saucer, knob, and bowl based on what you like and what you will be using it for. Make sure that the sizes are appropriate for each other. I personally like using the medium size Terra Cotta pots.
Instructions:
Step 1. Paint or spray your pot, saucer, and knob (you can leave the knob in its natural state if you’d like). Do not paint inside of pot (If spraying, spray outside to avoid fumes). Let dry then apply a second layer of paint or spray. Let dry completely.
Step 2. Add adhesive to the center of the saucer and attach the knob. This will be the lid. Allow time for this to dry.
Step 3. Spray mod podge onto the pot, saucer, and knob. Let dry for about 15 minutes.
Step 4. Turn the flower pot upside down and apply adhesive to the bottom of the glass bowl and place the glass bowl on top of the upside-down pot. Let dry for 24 to 72 hours.
Step 5. When fully dry, fill the glass bowl with, “Whatever You Want” and place the lid on top.
I hope you will enjoy making this as much as I did! Looking for more fun craft projects? Use Creativebug!
