Becoming a first time father can be a bit challenging and overwhelming. I'm really preparing for a new life coming into this world! They're innocent and unbiased at arrival into this new frontier.
One important thing to remember, you are not alone. It has been done billions of times, over and over again. Find great fathers to confide in. Great fathers are everywhere and just like great music, you may have to do a little digging and looking around. I will continue to ask many questions in preparation and when I'm in the middle of it all. Personally, I have confided in my brother with his experiences as a father. The lack of sleep when caring for a newborn has been the most mentioned among experienced fathers. I have also been told to save for the extra expenses. Time is the greatest currency in being a father. Yes, providing financially is super important but nothing is more profound than being in your child’s life. The moments of first steps, potty training, first words, an evolving vocabulary, the unfolding of personality and preferences. The bond of father and child means a lot, equally as important as mother and child.
