Join me as I make my way way through all of the Rick Riordan and Rick Riordan Presents titles!
With the recent release of the Percy Jackson television series, many readers are discovering or rediscovering an interest in the critically acclaimed books. I remember reading the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series for the first time in 2014. As someone who has always had an interest in mythology, Riordan reignited my passion for all things related to various gods and goddesses. This year I've decided to take on the challenge of reading every single Rick Riordan book as well as the books released under his Rick Riordan Presents imprint line. This imprint was created to publish middle grade authors from underrepresented backgrounds to provide space for them to tell folklore and mythology from their own backgrounds and cultures. Since it's founding, the Rick Riordan Presents line has focused on mythological retellings and folklore from all over the world.
While this reading challenge will include a lot books, I'm excited to experience the myths, legends, and lore created by Rick Riordan and other amazing authors such as Roshani Chokshi, J.C. Cervantes, Yoon Ha Lee, Kwame Mbalia, Rebecca Roanhorse, and many many more. Because I just re-read the Percy Jackson and the Olympian Series for the third time last year, I'll be starting with the Percy Jackson and Heroes of Olympus series. Please join me or follow me in completing this challenge. Each month, I'll be checking in and sharing my thoughts about the previous month's reads. Below you'll find the schedule for each month. Happy reading!
