Sunday, January 7, 2024 3 p.m. – 5 p.m.
Are you a caregiver wanting to learn how to prepare healthy and affordable meals for the entire family? Cooking Matters for Parents is a free 6-week hands-on course where you will learn cooking, meal prepping, grocery shopping, food budgeting, and healthy eating skills from nutrition professionals. Take-home groceries, prizes, and fun learning activities make this 6-week commitment well worth it! Sundays, 3-5pm, January 7, 14, 21, 28 and February 4, 11.
Taught by a Registered Dietitian and Cooking Matters® chef, this course covers food safety, meal preparation, grocery shopping, food budgeting and nutrition. Participants take home a bag of groceries at the end of each class to practice the skills learned in class. Registration is required.
SNAP-Ed's Healthy Food Initiative works to empower low-income families, kids, and adults with the knowledge and skills to prepare healthy and tasty meals on a budget.
This institution is an equal opportunity provider.
