Local Author Showcase: Dawn Smith Jordan (10am-2pm)
Dawn Smith Jordan is a Christian speaker, singer/songwriter, recording artist and published author. A former Miss South Carolina and 2nd Runner-Up to Miss America, you may have seen her on various TV programs including the Billy Graham Crusade Classics, Forensic Files, of her family's movie on Netflix.
She is the mother of 2 adult children, and as an empty nester, makes her home in Columbia, SC. She loves Jesus, family, friends, sushi, Hallmark movies, and the beach. Her books Grace So Amazing, Thus Far, Zoey the Christmas Kitty and Sammy the Singing Dog can all be found in the Richland Library Local Author Collection. Come and meet this amazing amazing author at the Local Author Showcase happening at the Market at Richland Library.
Flavors of the Market: A Culinary Showcase (10:30am)
Join us at the Market with Lisa Gieskes, for an unforgettable food demonstration that promises to tantalize your taste buds and inspire your inner chef. In celebration of Women's History Month, this week Lisa will be using the Charlie Cart to prepare Maya Angelou's famous cornbread recipe.
Sounds of the Market: A Live Music Experience (11am-1pm)
Join us as local musician, Brian Lennox sets the soundtrack for your shopping experience, adding an extra layer of ambiance to our marketplace. Enjoy the perfect blend of local flavors and melodies, creating an unforgettable experience for all your senses.
Brian Lennox is a freelance violinist and busker. After years of performing contemporary music (via electric violin), he decided to take his career a different route and started studying classical music and technique with the Concert Master of the SC Philharmonic (Mary Lee Taylor Kinosian). In this, he plans on pursuing a career in the classical field of violin music.
