Kids in Print 2023

Children and teens, ages six to 18, have shared their poetry, stories, short plays, essays, drawings and photographs with the library. Our staff received more than 220 submissions and selected 58 contributors to feature in this year's edition.

This annual literary magazine showcases the talents of young people across the Midlands and this year's edition is the 28th publication.

Kids in Print 2023 is in the final stages of design. We will celebrate with a Kids in Print 2023 Launch Party on Saturday, May 6th at 3:30 pm in the auditorium of Richland Library Sandhills, 763 Fashion Drive Columbia, SC 29229.

The library is pleased to formally recognize this year’s contributors and their work at this special event with an original performance based on this year’s magazine and featuring the talents of Bonita Peeples and Darion McCloud.   An autograph session will follow.  Artwork from Kids in Print 2023 will also be displayed in the community gallery at Richland Library Main later in May and throughout June.
