Caregivers learn how to prepare healthy and affordable meals for the entire family and have fun!
Our library is proud to offer Cooking Matters® for Parents, a free 6-week hands-on course where participants learn cooking, meal prepping, grocery shopping, food budgeting, and healthy eating skills from nutrition professionals. Take-home groceries, prizes, and fun learning activities make this 6-week commitment well worth it!
Best of all, this cooking series is taught by a Registered Dietitian and Cooking Matters® chef, this course covers food safety, meal preparation, grocery shopping, food budgeting and nutrition. Participants take home a bag of groceries at the end of each class to practice the skills learned in class.
SNAP-Ed's Healthy Food Initiative works to empower low-income families, kids, and adults with the knowledge and skills to prepare healthy and tasty meals on a budget.
