Your donation helps us establish innovative programs that have a huge impact in our community.

Every dollar donated directly supports the Library’s programs and initiatives, bettering the lives of Richland County residents.

Monthly Giving

Recurring donations offer an easy and convenient way to give, and they help us make long-term commitments for Library projects by securing sustainable support over time. As a monthly donor, you’ll receive an individualized e-receipt the same day we process each gift (on or around the 1st or the 15th day of each month), and you’ll receive an itemized annual tax reporting statement in January of each year to reflect your total contributions for the prior calendar year.

Memorial and Tribute Gifts

Make a gift in honor or memory of someone. We'll send you an acknowledgment letter for your gift, and we'll notify your honoree or designated family member of your thoughtfulness. Memorial and tribute gifts can be made online, via mail, or by phone. Please indicate the name of the person the tribute is in honor or memory of, as well as the name and address of the person that should be notified.

Legacy Society for Planned Giving

Planned giving sets a lasting example for other philanthropic-minded individuals in the community. Charitable bequests provide significant tax advantages and can be made by designating gifts through personal wills or estate plans, life insurance policies and/or retirement accounts. Become a member of the Richland Library Legacy Society simply by informing us of your intent to make a planned gift to the Friends and Foundation.

Gift of Stock

If you frequently sell and realize capital gains on your investments, you may be an ideal candidate to make your next donation by gifting shares of appreciated securities directly to the Friends and Foundation. By gifting your shares directly, both you and the Friends and Foundation receive the full benefit of your donation, making stock gifts a tax-savvy strategy for charitable giving.

Matching Gifts

If your employer offers a matching gift program, please request a matching gift form and submit it along with your donation to the Richland Library Friends and Foundation. We'll acknowledge receipt of your gift and handle submitting the matching gift form to your employer. We'll even let you know when the matching gift has been received.

The Richland Library Friends and Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization governed by a Board of Trustees whose mission is to support Richland Library by raising awareness and financial support. Gifts to the Richland Library Friends and Foundation are fully tax-deductible and are used to support programs and services not covered by the Richland County tax appropriation.
