If you need support or reasonable accommodations to participate in library events, activities or functions, please contact us at 803-929-3468 two weeks before the event or activity taking place.

We can provide accommodations for people with disabilities at library-sponsored events. Please complete this form to make a request.

We ask for at least two weeks’ notice to process all requests. Requests submitted less than two weeks prior to the event date may not be able to be accommodated. A Richland Library staff member will respond to you regarding your request via your preferred contact method within three business days.

Please describe your accessibility request in as much detail as possible. Include any information you would like us to know. You are not required to disclose any medical information. You are only required to describe how we can make our program accessible to you. For example: “I need space to maneuver a wheelchair”. “I need a sign language interpreter”. “My child may need a quiet space to take a break from the activity”, etc.

Your information will be kept confidential and only shared with necessary personnel. We will make every reasonable effort to fulfill your request.
